IRON BULL TRAILER LIMITED WARRANTY

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Subject to the exclusions and limitations listed below, Norstar Trailers LLC, referred to here as “Norstar,” warrants that each new trailer manufactured under the Iron Bull brand is free from defects in materials and workmanship when used normally within the continental United States and Canada. The trailer must be operated by the purchaser in accordance with Norstar-approved practices, with loads that do not exceed the manufacturer’s rated capacity, and in compliance with all terms of this Limited Warranty. The warranty begins on the date of retail purchase, or one year from the date the product shipped from Norstar, whichever occurs first.

During the warranty period, any qualifying defect in materials or workmanship on covered products will be repaired or replaced, at Norstar’s discretion, by an authorized Norstar representative or an approved repair facility. Norstar will cover replacement parts and approved labor according to its labor reimbursement policy. Norstar also reserves the right to provide remanufactured replacement parts when appropriate. This Limited Warranty is the exclusive remedy available and applies only to new products purchased in the United States and Canada, accompanied by this written warranty, and registered with Norstar within 30 days of purchase.

Warranty Coverage

Three-Year Structural Limited Warranty

Norstar warrants each new Iron Bull Trailer against structural defects for a period of three (3) years from the warranty start date. Structural coverage includes the main frame, subframe, crossmembers, railings, and other structural components manufactured by Norstar.

Two-Year Comprehensive Limited Warranty

Norstar warrants each new Iron Bull Trailer against defects in materials, components, and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the warranty start date, subject to the conditions, exclusions, and limitations below.

a. Norstar warrants the paint finish against peeling and cracking, and confirms it meets industry standards, for one (1) year from the warranty start date.
b. Norstar warrants lumber to meet industry standards for six (6) months from the warranty start date.
c. Components not manufactured by Norstar are covered by the original component manufacturer. Norstar will assist with repair or replacement claims under that manufacturer’s policy, but any costs related to non-Norstar components may be billed to the purchaser.

Parts Warranty

Any parts replaced during the warranty period remain covered only for the remainder of the original two (2) year limited warranty. Replacement parts do not extend the original warranty period. Parts replaced after the warranty period will be covered only under Norstar’s current standard parts warranty. Parts purchased separately through the Norstar Parts Department are not covered by the trailer warranty and are instead subject only to the warranty provided by the part manufacturer.

Labor Reimbursement Policy

Norstar may, at its discretion, reimburse labor during the warranty period if the repair has been pre-approved. Labor time will be determined using Norstar’s Labor Reference Guide and reimbursed at either Norstar’s current flat rate or the dealer’s approved contract rate. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to confirm the applicable labor rate with the Warranty Department. All warranty work must be authorized in advance by Norstar’s Warranty Department. Repairs performed without approval will not qualify for labor payment or parts replacement.

Shipping Costs

Norstar will cover ground shipping for warranty parts. Expedited freight is available at the owner’s expense. Return shipping of parts submitted for warranty review is also the owner’s responsibility, but may be reimbursed if the parts are found defective by Norstar or the component manufacturer, provided a readable copy of the invoice is supplied.

Any warranty claim must be reported immediately to an Authorized Norstar Dealer and will be processed within a reasonable time after the trailer is delivered to an approved repair facility. Norstar will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any parts found defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. Norstar’s only obligation, and the buyer’s exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty, is repair or replacement at Norstar’s election.

All warranty repairs must be pre-approved in writing by Norstar and are subject to commercially reasonable labor and material costs. Factory-authorized replacement parts must be used for all approved repairs unless Norstar agrees otherwise. Defective parts must be shipped prepaid to Norstar to qualify for replacement or reimbursement under this Limited Warranty. Transportation to and from the approved repair facility, along with related costs, is not covered.

Exclusive Warranty Statement

The express warranties stated in this document are the only warranties provided by Norstar. No other express or implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, apply.

This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original retail purchaser. If the trailer is sold or transferred by the first retail purchaser, all express warranties described here become void.

Exclusions

A. Parts, components, or items altered or modified from their original condition without prior Norstar authorization, including accessories not made or installed by Norstar, an authorized representative, or an approved repair facility, are excluded.
B. Damage caused by negligence, accidents, abuse, misuse, overload, corrosive substances, collisions, poor maintenance, improper repairs, improper installation, unsuitable storage, or severe weather is not covered.
C. Normal wear items such as flooring, paint, brake linings, tires, struts, lights, batteries, hinges, bearings, and hoses are excluded from coverage.
D. Delivery damage is not covered. Any delivery damage must be noted by the dealer at the time of delivery and supported with photos and notation on the original packing slip. Failure to document the damage may result in denial of the claim.
E. Cosmetic damage must be reported by the dealer at delivery. Cosmetic issues reported after the first retail purchase will be denied.
F. Paint, decals, or other finishes not applied by Norstar are excluded.
G. Any trailer used for rental purposes or as part of a rental operation is not covered.

Limitations of Liability

The remedies in this Limited Warranty are exclusive, and Norstar’s total liability to any purchaser, whether based on contract, warranty, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, will not exceed the purchase price of the trailer involved in the claim.

In no event shall Norstar be liable to the purchaser or any third party for special, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of use, revenue, profits, wages, towing charges, transportation expenses, fuel costs, lodging, meals, capital costs, or customer claims.

Warranty paint repairs are limited to spot repairs and blending consistent with industry standards. Wear from use or exposure, including chipping, scratching, fading, cracked caulk seams, road salt, tar, chemicals, pressure washing, or animal damage, is not covered. Rust streaking from areas where full paint or powder coat coverage cannot reasonably be achieved, such as behind rub rails or where metals join, is considered normal and is not covered.

Applicable Law and Disputes

The interpretation and enforcement of this Limited Warranty are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to this Limited Warranty that cannot be resolved informally will be handled exclusively in the courts of Lamar County, Texas, USA.

Severability and Waiver

If any part of this Limited Warranty is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that part will be modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable. If modification is not possible, the invalid portion will be severed, and the rest of the warranty will remain fully in effect.

Norstar provides no warranties other than those specifically stated in this document.
